Spyder Electra

I’ve been in the paintball craze for a couple of months now. And throughout my paintball career, if you will, I’ve been carrying my beloved and trusty Spyder Xtra. However, I felt that my paintball marker has seen enough action…and it’s about time for him to retire and to be replaced by a better and newer marker.
While in search for the paintball marker to replace my Xtra, I encountered Spyder Electra – it has all the trimmings, bells, and whistles of other Spyder paintball markers…AND a lot more! So I thought – “Hey! This would be having a Spyder Xtra on steroids!”
And since the day I held the new Spyder Electra on my hands, I never looked back! I love it. I think one of the main selling points of this paintball marker is that it can be operated with Co2 in my opinion…perhaps because I don’t have the budget to go for an air tank.
The feel – Well, I must say it’s solid! You may find that you need some time to get used to the rocking trigger, but in my opinion, it shouldn’t take long before you completely adapt to it. I went out with the Spyder Electra a couple of times with Co2, shooting with it, and man it was really fast!
Along with that, I think the rechargeable battery that came a long is a strength…BUT it can be a weak spot of the Spyder Electra too. I think it’s nice that you can recharge it, but at the same time, I’m having thoughts about carrying 3 9-volt batteries instead. On the brighter side, I was shooting a case and a half of paint for 4 long hours, and the indicator never told me that the battery’s power is running low.
With that in mind, I’m pretty optimistic with it. It can charge with a normal charger and it gets all filled up within 5 hours. However, if you have a rapid charger, all you need is an hour to get it all charged up.
Oh! One more thing – the halo hopper fits greatly with it and it works perfectly! I fell in love with the combo of the two. The barrel is also great. This is definitely a must-have paintball marker for players who’re at the intermediate level…looking for something more out of their usual marker.
