Piranha GTI Plus

Piranha GTI Plus
When I first played paintball, I was firing with my Brass Eagle Marauder. So how did this paintball marker fare? I have four words for it - â??It sucks big time!â? It was firing like my lawnmower, it chops and throws up. Needless to say, the Marauder only lasted with me for a couple of days - 3 short days if I'm not mistaken before I finally decided to return it.

As a replacement, I grabbed a Piranha GTI Plus at the nearest pro shop. The guy at the counter said that if I'm going to use this marker regularly I should get a new barrel, which I did. After all, it's very rare to find paintball markers nowadays that have a topnotch barrel so it's not really a problem.

Afraid that it might perform like my Marauder, I shot a couple of rounds at my backyard and man I was very impressed! First and foremost, it's one of the lightest paintball markers I've held. And the accuracy (even with the stock barrel), it's simply amazing...not to mention it's very quiet as well. With the 50 rounds I fired with it, it never broke a paintball.

When it comes to user-friendliness I'm giving the Piranha GTI Plus two thumbs up. I never had any problems using it. Aside from that, you can easily upgrade it just like the popular Tippmann 98 marker. From a good-performing stock gun, you can easily turn this into a paintball marker with outstanding tournament performance...but of course, you need to have some dough for that.

However, as mentioned earlier (and as the counter guy warned me about) you should get a new barrel for the Piranha GTI Plus. Although I must point out that its stock barrel leaves the stock barrel of Marauder by a mile. Still, you need to get a replacement as soon as possible. Last but not the least, I loved the stack pipe appearance of the Piranha GTI Plus.

This means I can put a Flush Cocking System in it when deem necessary to do so. Definitely recommended!
