The Speed - Hands down, this is one of the marker's strong points. As long as your hopper is of high quality and can keep up with the task, the Smart Parts Shocker can lay a stream of paint. Triggers are often problems even of high quality markers...especially if they're made of plastic. They're bound to break after a month or two of use.

However, you won't have any problems with the Shocker's trigger. It's sturdy, definitely adjustable - you can set it at short and light, a mouse click, and everything in between.

The Accuracy - No matter how good are your marker's parts, if it's not accurate enough, you might as well toss it to the trashcan and get it replaced. But get this - laser-accuracy is another strong point of the Smart Parts Shocker. Imagine raining down massive paint...AND getting it exactly where you want it to go. And to top it off, I experienced no kick from it whatsoever.

The Size - As any paintball fanatic knows, especially speedball players, the lighter and smaller your marker is the better. The guys behind Smart Parts definitely know this and it shows in their paintball marker. It's nice, compact, and light as a feather! You can carry a paint-filled Halo on your right hand and the Smart Parts Shocker on the other...and you'll conclude that the latter is lighter!

The Looks - There's only one way to describe the looks of Smart Parts Shocker - it's sexy! Heck! It even looks better in person than in pictures. Again folks, that's 19 seconds. You spend less time cleaning, and more time ripping faces at the paintball field! As for the bolt, it's very much the same with an ion bolt. If you want to slap in a firebolt, it won't be a problem. I fell in love with this gun 2 years ago and I still love it. I had the Smart Parts Ion XE as my first real speedball marker. However, for the woodsball and scenario paintball lovers, this marker works just as well. As for the speed or firing rate, with 17 balls per second (and this increases depending on the board you have), there's nothing to complain about.

When it comes to durability and reliability, I'm giving this paintball marker 2 thumbs up. I know there are bad reviews concerning Smart Parts Ions in general, but I think these are guys who don't give a damn about maintaining and keeping their markers clean. I never had any problems with it as long as I clean it on a regular basis (and of course, don't throw it on water!).

There's one quibble I have with it though - the trigger. It's plastic and my Smart Parts Ion XE's trigger broke down in a month or so. You should get a new trigger as replacement as soon as possible. Looking at the Smart Parts Ion XE as a whole this is definitely a great paintball marker to have.

If you're looking for an affordable marker that will give you the best bang for your buck, then this is it!

You see, nowadays, different paintball markers have dropped their prices while others have increased. However, when you're talking about the Smart Parts SP-1, the price is absolutely going down! For about $150, I can say that I got my money's worth...AND a lot more!

By the way, were talking about a high performing electro-pneumatic paintball marker - a trend which was started by Smart Parts with their Ion paintball marker line up. Locking feed neck, great looks, easy maintenance, etc. - you get all of these and more with the Smart Parts SP-1.

When I started shooting with it, I can see the marker's BPS reaching or even surpassing the said limits. And this is coupled by accuracy - I can see the paint going exactly where I wanted it to. Aiming might a problem for those paintball players who use sighted guns. After seeing that, I decided to just let the marker rip in the field. And to my pleasant surprise, it can shoot as fast as I can pull the trigger. Not even once did t skip a beat!

Its topnotch performance and durability was put to the acid test when I shot with it on the field. When temperatures run low, it's not uncommon for paintball marker's velocity to spike. However, the SP-1 showed what made it a popular paintball marker. I didn't even need to adjust the speed.

The field's limits were at 285. Without doing any adjustments, my Smart Parts SP-1 performed at 282. It plays around 280 to 284 - never went beyond or lower.

This marker is absolutely amazing. And I can bet that it can even perform at better at warmer weather.

The first time I pulled my newly bought Smart Parts EOS out of its box, I was amazed by the design...BUT shooting with it awe-struck me! Upon holding the marker, the first thing that you'll notice is that this paintball marker is very light! And this is nicely complimented by a fast firing rate. My Smart Parts EOS can reach 17 balls per second. And that's with the stock board. However, I would highly recommend that you get a Virtual Board.

The shots? They are laser-accurate and I have not even experienced a kick...and this is all because of the standard firebolt of the marker. A for the vision, Smart Parts EOS' vision system works flawlessly. There's no need to replace it. Not to mention I was able to fire 1200 paintballs with a low pressure Pure Energy 68/4500 low pressure. That's what Smart Parts said exactly in their manual.

As for the Q-Lock Feedneck, it's excellent. Just a reminder though - you better make sure that you don't unscrew the knob all the way...unless you want the friction that holds the feedneck to collapse! Aside from that, I don't have any quibbles with it whatsoever. And to top it off, it has one of the finest stock triggers I've laid my hands on. Forget about no side to side slop with this marker!

Easy to use, excellent design, nice trigger, flawless vision system, what more can you ask for? I'm giving this paintball marker 2 thumbs up!
