If you're looking for a Planet Eclipse Geo, you should realize that there are only 4 important things that you should check out with the Geo (and any other marker) to see if it's for you or not - first, the presentation, the first impressions, the bolt's assembly, and lastly, the firing.

Let's have a look -

The Presentation - For this department, I'm giving the Planet Eclipse Geo a solid 10 out of 10. It comes with a jaw-dropping solid hard white and bronze plastic case (no more carrying your marker in a plastic bag). This locks in the marker as well as the manual. The manual by the way, goes into great detail about the marker - covering almost every question or topic you may have in mind. This is a great bonus in my opinion.

The First Impression - "High quality and superbly assembled." That's what I told myself when I first held the Planet Eclipse Geo. The anodizing is definitely top class, which is not surprising from Planet Eclipse paintball markers. It comes with smooth lines of chrome as well as Geo jewels on the other side of the marker.

It fits nicely into my hands - very comfortable to handle and very solid.

The Bolt Assembly - I think this is where the strength of the Planet Eclipse Geo lies. With the quick disassemble feature, you can easily take off the bolt assembly (I swear you won't break not even a sweat in the process). You just have to turn the pop shaft with a couple of counter-clockwise turns. Take off the pop shaft, poke in your fingers, remove the can, clean it, and VIOLA! Your Planet Eclipse Geo is all cleaned up within a minute.

The Firing - When it comes to firing, the Planet Geo Eclipse isn't to be left our either. You won't feel any kick whatsoever when shooting with the Geo. Although I must agree that it gets a little louder when you're shooting compared to other markers like DM, I don't think this is going to be a huge problem. It was compensated well by it's A+ accuracy and performance in the field.

Not only that! It comes with a switch-on-and-go operation and maintaining it super easy. If you loved its predecessor - the Planet Eclipse Etek Ego, then you'll love the Etek 2! You get to have everything that the Etek Ego has and truckloads more.

The most notable of these advancements would be the Ego8 Range. This is backed up by lightweight hard anodized aluminum pistons, reliable captured regulator seal, coil spring construction, and we haven't touched the tip of the ice berg yet.

This paintball marker has been a regular guest of my paintball gears bag. And I'm giving it 2 thumbs up! Within a month, I've tested this in several paintball matches - about 7 of them if I'm not mistaken, and I only had one chop at (at most) 2 barrel breaks. And those happened when the eyes of the marker was accidentally turned off.

I really love how economical this marker operates. It uses very little air. Not to mention the accuracy is simply outstanding even with the stock. Usually, you get a great marker overall, but you simply have to replace the stock, which is not a huge problem by the way. However, it's always nice when you can save a couple of dollars...thanks to the creators of Planet Eclipse Etek 2.

As for the speed - this paintball gun boasts up to 24 BPS. However, since I don't have robotic fingers, my BPS ranges within the 18-20 mark, which is more than impressive by the way.

Last but not the least, if you want to upgrade it to an Ego, then that won't be a problem. You can do so without spending your hard earned cash - the last time I checked, it would usually cost you $1,200 for the upgrade...but not with this marker. All you need is to get a cure bolt and a virtue, and that's about it.

I minimized by spending on gas, dates, video games, and everything in between...all because I wanted to lay my hands on a Planet Eclipse Ego. And I'm glad that I did! 24 hours after ordering it, I got the paintball marker at my house's door. I didn't waste another moment and took it right out of the box. Upon opening the box, the aluminum top as well as the velvet interior of the Planet Eclipse Ego were the first features that greeted me.

The very first thing that will catch your eyeballs is, no doubt, the anodizing as well as the milling - it's definitely high end class! And once you hold the marker with your both hands, you'll shake your head in disbelief at how thin and light this marker is. But don't let that fool you though. This one isn't light when it comes to the performance and durability departments.

Looking at the interiors of the Planet Eclipse Ego, you'll realize that techs and engineers behind it didn't leave even a room for improvement for the upgrades department. I'd say it was upped to its maximum potential. Another thing I loved with the Ego is its amazing simplicity. It has everything you could ask for from a professional grade paintball marker. But compared to other markers like Autococker, you'll definitely agree that the Planet Eclipse Ego could be operated even by a 7-year old kid!

As for the performance, well after testing it at 100 feet away from the target, I nailed down 12 out of 12 balls bulls-eye.
